Chrysalis: Full-length Poetry Collection

Chrysalis is about the relationship between the changes in the natural world and those of the author’s inner world. The poet explores three major themes: the difficulties she faced with letting go of her past, her relationship to loneliness and solitude, and her observations in nature that help her accept the necessity & inevitability of change as it relates to personal growth. These poems span various geographic locations and reflect the dual nature of life rather than only being focused on one side of the emotional spectrum.

This debut poetry collection is a lifeline for anyone who is on a journey with healing, change, spirituality, a breakup from a romantic relationship, the inevitable passage of time, grief for past lives and grief for a future that can’t exist, multicultural & multiracial identity, being young and female in a world that doesn’t take either seriously, a love of dance & food & travel, and more.

Reviews:

“These poems give us the keen and celebratory observations of such a thoughtful and appreciative participant in the world. Brimming with feeling and a delight at the power of language.”

-Aimee Bender, author of The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake and Willful Creatures

“Luna Moore Latorre takes us on a tour of grief, love, and wonder in this arresting debut, where humor and loss commingle memorably in these pages. Latorre’s at the start of a bright career.”

-Robert J. Peterson, author of The Odds and Strong Bones

Fénix in Flight: YA Dark Fantasy Novel (September 2026, available NOW for PREORDER)

The dead are never silent. Fénix has heard them her whole life.

When seventeen-year-old Fénix Hannigan Gonzalez discovers her late mother’s hidden journals and an unfinished bucket list, she uncovers a truth that shatters everything she thought she knew: her grandparents vanished decades ago in Mexico, and her mother spent her life searching for them. Now it’s Fénix’s turn.

Her road trip quickly spirals into something otherworldly. Haunted by the loss of her mother, stalked by vengeful spirits, and challenged by creatures of Mexican legend, Fénix must navigate a Mexico where myth bleeds into reality and monsters step out of story and song. Each mile brings her closer to the truth—and closer to the darkness that has been following her since childhood.

But the greatest battle isn’t with what lurks in the shadows. It’s with the grief, guilt, and secrets buried inside her. If Fénix can’t face her past, she may never find her family—or herself.

Reviews:

“Lyrical, fierce, and unflinching, Fénix in Flight is a spellbinding YA fantasy for fans of Zoraida Córdova’s Labyrinth Lost and Emily X.R. Pan’s The Astonishing Color of After—a story of ghosts and legends, heritage and heart, and the courage it takes to rise from the ashes.”–Usher Morgan
